NTSE Stage 1 is conducted by respective states/UTs
National level or NTSE stage II is conducted by NCERT
Scholarship amount
Rs. 1250 per month for Class 11-12
Rs. 2000 per month for UG and PG level
As per UGC norms for research level
Test Duration
120 minutes for each paper (MAT & SAT) at each level i.e. a total of 240 minutes. (same for both the stages)
Number of Attempts
One attempt during Class 10.
State of Eligibility
Candidates must appear for Stage 1 in their respective state/UT.
Nationality
Indian Nationals studying in India or abroad (Indian students studying abroad can directly apply for Stage 2).
Important Considerations
Candidates from open schools (NIOS) can also apply, provided they are below 18 years and appearing for
Class 10 for the first time.
